Remote desktop comes with XP only. You may want to use other
remote access software like netmeeting or VNC.

No - you installed the client.. not the server software.

Let's try this again...

You installed the Windows XP (or Windows 2003) Remote Desktop
Client onto the Windows 95 Laptop. This ONLY allows you to use the
client you just installed to remotely connect to a Windows
XP/2000/2003/2003R2/Vista/Longhorn machine from the Windows 95
laptop using the client you just installed.

In other words - the Remote Desktop Client you installed is just
that - a CLIENT. It cannot and will not act as a host to allow you
to remote into the Windows 95 laptop. It is a one-way deal. The
components needed to act as the host are not included and cannot be
installed onto the Windows 95 operating system.

You can, as suggested earlier in this thread, use other software to
gain remote access into the Windows 95 laptop. Being Windows 95
(Really Really Old in terms of Operating Systems) I cannot say with
certainty that any of these methods will work, but...

- Netmeeting
- A flavor of VNC (TightVNC and UltraVNC come to mind.)
- Some other third party remote software (logmein.com, PCAnyWhere,
etc...)
In other words - until you get some sort of HOST configured on the
Windows 95 laptop - do not expect to be remotely controlling the
Windows 95 laptop from any other machine. You can install most
clients onto the Windows 95 laptop and control other machines
(hosts) with said clients, however. There is no way to install the
Windows XP Host part of the equation on any other OS - Windows 95
included.

OK!, But if now I install XP onto laptop ¿if possible to access
with the remote desktop from the PC to Laptop and the same way
access to the PC from the Laptop?, now both with XP

Well - if you were to purchase another license of Windows XP Professional
(or superset) and installed it on another machine (no matter what that
machine was/where it was, etc) and connected it to the Internet/local
network and set it up so that you could remote into it (services, passwords,
ports, etc.) - then it works just like all other remote desktop services -
yes.

In your particular case - a laptop that is currently running Windows 95 *may
not* even come close to running Windows XP.
