Remote Desktop Connection fails to connect
Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
Hello,
I've got a Windows XP SP2 computer at work and a Windows 98 SE at home. I
want to use the work computer from home.
So I've followed the instruction below
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/getstarted/remoteintro.mspx
to configure the work computer and the home computer. I'm using Trendmicro
internet security and I've set it to let Remote Desktop Connection to make
connection to the Internet.
However, after I've typed in the full computer name and tried to connect, I
get the following error:
The specified remote computer could not be found. Verify that you have
typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try connecting
again.
I can't think of anything that I haven't done yet. So anyone get any idea
what I should do? If I should type in the IP address instead, how to get
the IP address of my office computer?
Thanks.
Herbert
