I have been using RDP to access my work computer when working from
home for years without any problem. I just got a new pc for work
and am having a wierd issue. I can use RDP on the new pc only
after I have logged into the new pc locally.
In other words, if I am working from home, trash the OS as
developers are prone to do, and have to reboot, I can't do any more
work until I drive 125 miles into the office and log in locally.
On my old pc, that wasn't necessary. I could reboot remotely, wait
a few minutes for the reboot process to complete, and connect using
RDP again without having to actually visit the office.
Does anyone have any idea of what setting or registry entry I need
to fix this?
What is the network card (type, brand, driver version, connection type..
etc.)?
What are its settings?
What Operating system/version/patch level?
