Newest Patches borked RD?
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Long-time Remote desktop user -- web connection and standard client. I
typically log into my main PC from 2-3 different computers / day and have
done so for years. Truly my favorite XP feature (VNC eat your heart out).
Until today. Applied the latest patches and now my main PC (server in this
schema) is freezing, requiring a hard reboot. PC won't respond even at the
console. These freezes have been on my local LAN; not over the Internet.
I can connect for a while, but then the connection just terminates.
I'm not using any UPS software (saw that elsewhere). Just NAV and Windows
firewall, both set up to keep 3389 open. 3389 isn't accessible from the
outside net.
Should I try removing a particular patch to see if that stops the problem?
Thanks!
