intermittent keystroke over Remote Desktop, need help!

I use both remote desktop over VPN and Web connection to log on my XP in
office. Both of them work fine. However, when I use my tablet laptop
(wireless connect to a router) to connect, keystroke or mouse click signal
sometime is intermittently. Any advice?
