Problems switching from Remote Desktop to child windows in Outlook, Excel, etc...

I wonder if anyone can help.

I use the Windows Remote Desktop Connection to access one of our business
systems.

However if I try to use Alt+Tab to switch from the remote desktop to a child
window in Outlook or Excel the message or spread*** flashes up quickly but
does not get the focus.

My colleagues can Alt+Tab without any problems, the only difference with my
PC is the screen resolution is 1280x1024, whereas they use 1024x768.

I have tried changing the screen resolution but this does not solve the
problem.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
