Remote Desktop Shutdown on Connect

Can anyone help me with this problem? Running Win2003 AD, and GPO's for
WinXP SP2 clients to control defined groups to provide remote assistance to
users. I can properly connect to remote client, either by solicitation or by
email invitation. Remote Desktop begins connection, brings up the
multi-field screen after connection established, then immediately shuts down
with simple error text the connection has been closed by the client. Check
of event viewer not showing any errors, and properly logging my successful
authentication to system. Box has been scanned for viruses and spyware, all
corp non-standard s/w removed, and identical systems in this facility can be
properly connect to with RDC.

Anyone have any ideas what would cause the immediate shutdown of the
established remote connection? Firewall appear good because we do get
initial established connection. Rights to connect good also connection
occuring and security logging. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks. Bill
