Forgive me if this has already been asked and answered, but I haven't
been able to find someone with my specific problem.

I'm trying to set up Remote Desktop Web Connection. I'm running XP Pro
and I have a DSL with no router. My problem is that when I enter the
URL on a remote computer, I get a "cannot find server" message. If I
enter it on my computer, I do get to the Remote Desktop logon page (but
of course can't actually log on since it's the same machine).

After reading various help files and a couple of articles on
Microsoft.com, I've:

(1) In System/Remote, checked "Allow Users to Connect Remotely to this
computer."
(2) Under Internet Information Services, installed Remote Desktop Web
Connection
(3) In the Internet Information Services console, opened default web
site/tsweb and enabled Anonymous Access (I don't need to do anything
with the username used for anonymous access, do I?).
(4) Checked "Remote Desktop" in the Advanced/Firewall setting of my DSL
connection.
(5)Bought a host name for my dynamic IP address from ConstantTime.com
and installed and turned on their dynamic DNS client.
(6)Typed http://myaddress.org/tsweb into my browser.

And gotten nothing. I also tried looking up my actual IP address and
putting that into the URL. No dice.

Am I missing something? Each set of instructions seems to leave out one
of these steps, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's another one I
don't know about.

Thanks in advance.

Ben
