remote control update

i just called my isp provider and asked him to ping the
computer i want to connect with .....he came back with the
same ip i am using to call the computer and got a response
on the ping request......
but when i ping the same ip i get a timed out response...

any ideas on this one??

i have 2 computers both with xp..........cable modem and
linksys wireless routers.........both setup with 3389
forwarded.....both worked up till last week....the remote
computer stopped allowing me to get control.....i have a
routine to tell me the ip and it emails every 2 hours..

my home computer is still working and works everytime i
try to access it....i have looked at all these notes and
still dont see a solution....any help??
