Newbie question about VPN, Win Xp and BEFSX41

I have a Linksys BEFSX41 router at home.

I bleieve I set up VPN on the router properly. I set an encryptio code
as well as an authentication code. I set up inbound and outbound SPI.

My question is, if I want to connect to the home LAN from my laptop at
a remote location, what exactly do I set up on the laptop? where do I
put in the encryption and share codes etcc?

My laptop run WIin XP Pro but how do I set it up?
