Re: Overlaying a still image on a video clip in WMM? Possible?

Thanks for the reply,

I see, so you make the image so that the part you want to show up
somewhere is placed in that section of a full sized image where the rest
of the image is just transparent.

This did work absolutely fine and I now have the image covering the bad
part of the video with the rest of the movie showing.

One last HiJack of this thread since in searching for the answer to
this audio problem your name comes up often as well :-).

The audio for the movie sounds perfect in WMM as I have the project set
up. Just as the original video file sounds (its a .wmv file to start
out with taken from a webcam).

Then when I save the movie file (or "finish it), the audio sounds tinny
and a bit crackly (not horrific, but this is a video of a piano piece,
so the sound quality is rather important).

Interestingly the file size of the new .wmv file that I have made with
the static image incorporated into it is now smaller that the origial
video. It goes from 47,000 KB for a 2-minute clip to 32,000 KB after
editing it in WMM with the static image.

And again, when I listen/watch the video _while_it_is_in_WMM__it sounds
fine - just like the original, its only when I save it as a movie that
it loses audio quality.

I have it saved as "best quality" (2.1 mps

Any thoughts Papajohn? You have been extremely helpful and I really
appreciate it. I am sooooooo close to getting what I wanted!
