Split video signal to LCD and projector

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi,

I have a basic PC loaded with XP Pro, 1 gig RAM, and a new HD Sapphire 2400
Pro video card. This is a desktop machine, not a laptop.

Taking a step backwards prior to the HD card, the box ran ok with the
integrated video and the following setup. From the vga port I have a Y
splitter which allows me to see the video output on a small LCD monitor and,
at the same time, a Viewsonic projector casts the image onto a drop down
full wall screen. It worked great but the quality of the image was a
little fuzzy.

Step ahead and the HD card is installed and the same Y splitter, LCD, and
projector are used. The problem now is that the image can be seen on the
LCD monitor without making the connection to the projector. When I connect
both cables the projector works fine but the LCD goes dark. Pull the plug
on the projector and the LCD comes back.

Any ideas?

Thanks
