Hi Liz,
You can't transfer using usb. You need to use firewire, also known as i-link
by Sony or IEEE1394, from the camcorder to the pc. Do not use the USB cable,
this is really for stills only. Have the cam connected and turned on to vcr
position, powered by the mains and not battery.
