i tried the uninstall and reinstall and it worked, although
i don't think thats what it was. the guides all say to
click "allow all streams" to boost performance or
something. which i did the first time, although this time i
left it unchecked and it played, when i checked it,
however, the video did not play. so i think that may have
been the problem. thanks for the help though.
