Screensaver Problem

I just built a new PC with XP Pro and an Nvidia graphics
card. My screensaver will not start most of the time. I
have been successful in going through the Nvidia program
and resetting it, but that only works until I reboot. I
can preview a screensaver and everything seems okay, but
it will not timeout.

Also, the monitor shutdown weill not work .
