Re: Re-installation of XP hangs

Could you do a fdisk and delete and then create a new partition, make it
active and then format ?

I have a laptop which had XP Home SP2 preinstalled on it and have decided
to
do a fresh install of XP prior to giving the laptop to a relative. I zero
wiped the hard drive and booted the machine with the manufacturer's
Product
Recovery CD ROM which has XP on it. All goes well until the setup screen
which gives the options to press Enter, press R or Press F3.

can't
get any further so any suggestions as to how to proceed would be
appreciated.
Thanks
Snowy
