First line of approach would be a system-restore rollback to before Nero
installation, if this is still available.

On 2 computers (Dell and IBM Thinkpad) running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3.
I installed Nero 7 from a CD and after rebooting the computer I can not read
any more CDs but still able to read or write DVDs.
Then I uninstall Nero but the problem persist.
I also try Installing Roxio creator and it get worst, I could not even see
the DVD drives, so I have to delete the Lower and Upper Filters from registry
(fix recommended by Microsoft)
Anyone have a solution for this problem, I mean how I can read CDs again
without reinstalling Windows?
