I can't install .NET Framework 2.0

Every time I try to install Framework 2.0 a message appears, saying "Setup
cannot continue because this version ... is incompatible with a previously
installed one."
Well, I tried to get rid of the previous installed one by using the "Windows
Install Clean UP" and the ".NET Framework Setup Cleanup Utility", but it did
not work.
Hence, there is still one hotfix for FW 3.5 SP 1 in "Add or Remove
Programs": KB953595.
I just don't know, what I could do else. It's on Windows XP Professional
64-Bit. (I downloaded the right files, by the way!)
