we are a small public company and we would like to automate the
upgrade of desktops to xp from 2000. i have heard of microsoft
tools (BDD) to help with deployment but we dont have that much in
the way of dollars. is there a way i can do this with some free or
inexpensive tools?
RIS/Desktop Deployment is free with Windows Server...
Are you UPGRADING or installing fresh?
Other options might include something like:
http://unattended.msfn.org/ (customize a CD/DVD to do everything for you...)
http://unattended.sourceforge.net/ (customize a net-bootable method...)
