Deafult User Profile and Files Stored on this Computer

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi all,

I'm new to the group but have read many articles/posts on customizing
the Windows XP default profile and the issues/complications involved.

=======
Quick question - is there a preferred way to set up a custom default
profile that maintains My Documents/Music/Pictures customizations
based on the new profile's name, and assigns the correct rights? This
is just for home machines.
=======

My experience has been that you have to manually edit desktop.ini
files and change registry keys to retain the full folder
customizations - these do not seem to be correctly initialised/
assigned after copying a user profile to the default profile.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Bob :-)
