Re: uninstalled program damaged my ie7 and other apps..maybe

I recently installed and removed powerdvd from my pc (XP home).
After removing it, my IE7 began wigging out. I can open some pages,
but they don't open correctly. Also, the pages that require a
login, once I enter my login info, I get a blank page next. Unable
to log into anything except yahoo, using the classic yahoo version.
Lastly, after removing this program, I get an error message saying
that I don't have permission to open the "users" window or that the
mmc is missing. This was not a problem until removing/uninstalling
this app.

Use System Restore and restore to a point before you uninstalled the
application in question.

I am unsure why PowerDVD being uninstalled would do any of this (actually
doubt it is related) - but if you believe so - then restoring to a point
before you uninstalled should remedy your issue as it must have changed
*system files* - which is what System Restore protects.
