If you have the ME cd you can purchase an upgrade, if you can source one
Currently WinXp is at sp2, later in March sp3 will be released
The sp provides mostly security updates

Greetings. I would like to upgrade from ME to XP Home Edition. I satisfy
all the system requirements, but don't know if I need the upgrade version
or
complete version. Also, is SP2 standard with both versions and is it
necessary? I've read a ton of posts and I'm still confused. I would
appreciate any help or clarification. Thank you for your time and
