In theory, as long as you don't format the data partition the data should still be there, but if it's that important you should have a backup, especially on a striped array, if one of the drives fails, you've lost all the data.

Hi there,
i have been running windows XP pro on my system for about 3 years now.
The OS is installed on a partition of my RAID 0 drive. The rest of the
RAID has music and data on it that i would like to keep. I need to
reinstal my xp (performamce has dissapeared completely!)... My
question is... Will reinstalling the OS mean that I lose my data on
the rest of the raid drive (the data is on a separate partition...)?
Thanks for your help
Simon
