I now have a system working as Win XP PRO so the fix was simply letting the
PC reboot itself....
Thnx Brian for your reply

When does it reboot? What does it get to? Make sure to describe it in detail.

Due to a virus I decided to reinstall Win XP Pro from my CD.
I deleted all partitions and reformatted the hard drive. Followed the
directions to install XP Pro and when the process indicated that ot would
reboot to Windows the reboot process continued to cycle without getting to
Win XP PRO.
I tried a repair of this installation with the same result.
I tried to get to Safe Mode and other various OS options with no success.
The sytem just ocntually cycles thorugh the first to pages of the boot
process.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
