Then as 'foozer' says you probably need to do a repair install of win using
the F6 option to install the sata/raid drivers from floppy.
Your mobo manual will have the instructions for using a sata drive - it
varies by mobo and sata controler

I've installed (physically) a Samsung SATA drive. I entered BIOS and
enabled
SATA with it set to BASE (?). Windows recognizes the nVidia SATA driver
and
the SI SATA driver and their respective controllers but the SATA Drive
is
nowhere to be seen. What else needs to be done? I want to get the SATA
drive
going because the IDE drive is dying.
