If you connect to the 'broadband connection' using ethernet and the provider
requires no software be installed...
(and you do not have a cable/DSL router)
- Unplug (from power) the broadband modem (cable modem, DSL modem, etc.)
- After about 5 minutes - plug it back into power.
- Turn off your computer.
- Make sure the ethernet cable is running from the modem to the computer.
- Turn on the computer.
- Enjoy the Internet.
Otherwise - if none of that sounds right, if you have a routers, if you
connect using USB, if you think you need software/a logon/something else
provided by you to your broadband internet provider... Contact them.
