Re: User profile - domain related or not?

I am trying to understand this better for volunteering in the
malware removal forums. I thought person may have tried to convert
to domain or malware had messed up the user profile.

Why does the user profile folders only have the .domain or can that
be something else like computer name. How do you get the .domain
after the profiles? or is that the .domain?

I have Windows XP Pro and no domains set up and none of my user
profiles look like the following:

The user profile are:
Susan.Computerroom (admin)
David.Computerroom (admin)
CHILDREN.Computerroom (admin)
Administrator (admin)
==========

It can do with Computername...
You could have just as easily seen...
