I was assured by MVP's some time ago that the WinXP version sold in the US
was identical to that sold in the UK and any other English speaking region.

Heuh, it's the software for the Zune (the specs say it's Windows XP North
American version and I overlooked it) ... and I did try on my current
machine, it starts the installation and ends-up saying, no update is
available for your machine and installation stops. :-(

I have a simple machine with one hard disk. I've been running Windows
XP
French version for quite some time on it and everything is fine so
far.

However, I came across a piece of software that demands Windows XP
North
American version.

I do know that I need to buy a second license for it (it's done
already),
and I do know that I'll be using that one En-US version only for that
one
piece of software.

My question is, can I install the En-US version of XP next to the
Fr-XX
version and dual-boot it? If yes, how can I do that?
