Have you checked the hw compatibility wizard?
Disconnected all extra hw?
Tried with a single ram stck?

having an issue with getting files copied while setting up XP. bought XP

grade for ME. While copying files program stos and says can not copy

certian

.Dll and Usr files. about 50 of them. reformatted HD and did full blown
version, Same issue. reinstalled ME no problem. Have I upgrade and 1 full

set

XP pro. Both have same issue with file copy even on a clean HD. Same files
same time frame

Am I mssing basic set up procedure?
Running HP machine 1 GHZ processor 512 Mb Ram 80 Gig HD New Liceanced cpys
of XP pro up grade and full

Any Help apreciated?
