Re: installing os to 2nd hard drive

Since you mentioned the word "master" in connection with one of
your HDs, I'm assuming that both HDs are PATA (i.e. not SATA)
HDs. Is that the case?

Please supply the following information:
1) On the clone HD, how many partitions are there (use Disk Management
to see this).
2) Which partition no. is the OS on?
3) Which partition no. are the boot files (i.e. boot.ini, ntldr, ntdetect.com) on?
4) Is the partition containing the boot files marked "active" (use Disk Mgt
again to see this - if there's just one partition, and "Mark Partition as Active"
is grayed out when you rt-clk the partition's GUI, it's "active")
5) Please list the contents of the boot.ini file which is just below the root of
the partition containing the boot files.
