Remove or Disconnect any hardware or device you don't need for the
install. Use Optimal Defaults or Fail Safe Defaults in
the Bios. Disable the antivirus if any in the Bios.

After setting up my computer with some new parts together with some old
parts, I try to install my Windows XP.
I passed the blue screen part, and then enter GUI.
During hardware detection, around 35 minutes left for Windows install,
the system reboot automatically. This repeats as many times as it
wants, no further progress.
Then I remove one of the 2 piece of RAM from the motherboard, woohoo~!
passed 35 minutes.
Well, but my happiness cannot loast more then 30 seconds, as the system
reboot itself again afterwards, just after hardware detection. And
this time, I dunno what I should do to make it pass, it just reboot
again and again.
I took the couple of RAMs to the computer store, they exchange a new
pair for me, and with MemTest86+ 100% passed.
My config:
Intel Pentium D 930
Asus P5LD2
Corsair DDR2 533 RAM 1G x 2
Winfast 7600GS display card
Plextor 716A DVD-RW
Samsung 250G SATA2 HDD x 2
WD 160G SATA HDD x 1
Enermax PSU
TerraTec soundcard
Any help or suggestion will be much appreciated.
