I put more RAM in my laptop. Is there something that I need to do

When I look at the profile of my computer, it still says that it
only has the amount of RAM that the laptop came with.

Assuming you purchased the correct type of RAM and it is installed
correectly and there is no trouble with either the RAM or the slots they
plug into - it should just work.

What does your system BIOS show - for RAM?
