It sounds like there's only a few things left after deleting the
windows directory, and they won't cause me problems, so I'll follow
your advice. Thank you very much for your help. I'm very (pleasantly)
surprised that it's that simple.

... I would be awfully careful about randomly deleting files in the ... Windows directory or any other directory unless you are really sure of what ... You should uninstall programs instead of deleting them. ...
