No. At install time you can redirect the "Profiles" folder to a different
drive, but after install, an attempt to change its location to another drive
will result in MANY things not working as there may be literally hundreds of
settings in the registry referencing its location.
The supported way of handling this type of problem would be using a backup
application to backup and restore user data prior to an image restore. In
the same way, an image restore is only as good as the contents of the drive
at capture. Anything including applications and data added after the image
capture would be lost on restore.
