Well, he did had problems with Windows XP, sometimes it's BIOS related.
In my case I had to update my BIOS because when I installed WinXP sp1
or later, it consume alot of system resources, taking forever to open a
folder, et. I even made a clean install at the time, thinking that it
was spyware or adware related. But with the BIOS update it worked
perfectly till this day! :)
