If your license of Windows XP is retail (not OEM) and/or you haven't
activated in 120 days and/or your story makes sense...
Yes.

If it has been more than 120 days since you activated, you won't even have
to call - Internet Activation should work.

The only "catch-22" is if the copy of Windows XP you have was "BIOS
locked" - which basically means it was an OEM copy put together so
specifically for your current hardware that it working on another system is
almost not going to happen..
