Disk 1 - Win 98 & Win 2000, Disk 2 - Win XP?

I currently have Windows 98SE (C:) and Windows 2000 (D:) on a disk and
both work fine.

I am considering introducing Windows XP into the mix, and I'm not sure
there is enough space on the first disk. I have another disk on which
the backups are copied, and occasional partitions "ghosted".

My question, is whether I could install Windows XP on this second disk
(G:)?
If yes, is there a guide I could be pointed to?

While I am at it, I have read conflicting advice about installing
applications over those on a different OS (e.g. MS Office is already on
Win 2000 (D:), so reinstall MS Office on Win XP in the same location on
D:). What is the current thinking about this?
