1. Log on under an admin account that is neither your old nor
your new account.
2. Control Panel / System / Advanced / User Profiles
3. Click the profile that you believe contains your lost settings.
4. Click "Copy to".
5. Using the Browse button, navigate to the new profile folder
(c:\Documents and Settings\username.domain), then click OK.
That's it!
