Lose the caps. It's considered yelling, is incredibly rude and makes your
posts very hard to read.

I doubt this very much. If you were, you'd know the answer to your own
question. I gave you the answer (the only one there is, as it happens) but,
if you don't like it, that's really not my problem. The only way you're
going to be able to share faxes on a domain level is by implementing Windows
2003 Server. If you don't wish to do that, don't, but you won't find another
solution. Your company must have really been desperate when they hired you -
you wouldn't find work over here I can tell you that for nothing!
AND

PMSL!! I think it is you who "do not participate fully in the I.T world"
whatever the f*ck that means. Before I became ill, I was an IT manager and
systems admin for over a decade.

Now, let me spell this out to you once more (if necessary, I'll tattoo it to
your forehead). You *CANNOT* (got that?!) use an XP machine as a fax server
*BECAUSE IT IS NOT SUPPORTED*! WinFax is *NOT* an appropriate solution as it
only supports sharing between two systems peer-to-peer. It *CANNOT* be used
in a domain level environment (is this sinking in yet?!) The only way you
can do what you wish is to upgrade to Windows 2003 Server.
ALL

No, because XP Pro does *NOT* support fax-sharing. Once again, I will tell
you that you need to upgrade the server to Windows 2003. If you don't
believe me, that's fine, you can always repost in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax and mark it for the attention of MVP
Russ Valentine - but I will tell youi that he'll give you exactly the same
reply as I just have. Windows XP does *NOT* support fax sharing - you need
to upgrade the server to Windows 2003 (sorry for anyone else reading this,
I'll switch the broken record off in a minute) and the clients to either
2000 Pro or XP Pro.
There's your answer. Take it or leave it, it's the only one you're going to
get.
For pity's sake, Goddess, *GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!*
