I had to uninstall all Symantec products due to a curruption with Windows (or
says the symantec Tech support).
Part of the problem resolution is that I am required to RE-INSTALL Windows
XP Professional that I have updated to SP 2 and have downloaded and installed
all available updates as of this date).
I have been told that there are two ways of doing this - one that reformats
the HDD and thereby losing my data in My Documents etc. OR.............. a
second method that re-installs Windows XP WITHOUT LOSS OF DATA.
Obviously, I wish to use the latter of these options but can not find out
how to do this. The KB seems to indicate I WILL lose my data no matter what
method I use!
So, my question is................. HOW DO I SECURELY AND SAFELY RE-INSTALL
WINDOWS XP (SP2) WITHOUT LOSING MY DATA?
