Please be more specific. What version of Windows XP Home you are
installing??

The assumption is that this is a new Retail boxed Windows XP (either Upgrade
version OR new install version) - purchased at your local computer retailer
(e.g. CompUSA, Fry's, OfficeDepot, OfficeMAX, Staples, BestBuy. etc.)

There are also other versions:

OEM - provided by specific computer manufacturers (e.g. Dell, HP, IBM)
Corporate volume license - rare for WinXP Home version & unlikely for home
user to see
Microsoft Development Network (MSDN) disks - again rare for home user to
have
