A while ago my computer was acting up and we continuously
tried to recover it with the recovery cd, after many
failed attempts I took it into a repair shor. At the
repair shop it was diagnosed that i need a new
motherboard. There was a concern about my recovery cd
working on a new motherboard, if a compatible one was not
found. I was told a compatible one was found and
installed but when the went to load my windows xp home
they said they were denied because the product key had
been used too many times or something. I am assuming that
this was because earlier we had tried so many time to
recover it each time entering the product key. when i
went to pick up my computer i was informed that since
they could not reinstall my xp home they had installed xp
pro. They said it was too my advantage, but me on the
other hand am upset that the windows i paid for in my
package is no longer in use after just over a year, I
would like to reinstall windows xp home on my computer
and have it back to the way it was originally purchased
and do not know ho to go about doing this with out
killing xp pro and having an unsuccessful attemp on my
recovery cd. Any sugestions?
