  Thats the problem with mfg installation of xp w/o the retail version,no
 recovery,no booting to xp cd.At start up or reboot tap the F8 key,select,
 safe-mode with networking,enter as ADM.Dont let the screen count down
 for reboot,try pressing key to initialize it,or try diffrent variables
until one
 trys to initialize.Youre computer is stuck in an "open-loop",even try at
shut-
 down disconnecting the power,remove battery also,with electrical equit.
 removing the power will often reset things.
