Hmm, not too impressed with this one. Downloaded the
266Mb XP Service Pack 2 a couple of days ago. Decided to
install it this morning, one double click and practically
no other action. On reboot, well there's a surprise, my
system is trashed. It gets to the windows logo screen for
a few seconds then bsod (displayed for quarter of a
second or so so am unable to read it) followed by a
reboot. It goes into this cycle ad infinitum. Trying F8
with 'Safe', 'Last Known Good' or any other option
doesn't help. PC totally unusable. Tried a reinstall of
XP from the CD, no difference. Microsoft has destroyed my
XP installation and rendered my PC unusable.

Fortunately I had the sense to make a Ghost Backup two
days ago when I downloaded SP2, so have only lost a small
amount of work.

I won't be advising anyone to install SP2 in a hurry, not
until Microsoft get it right. I can't believe that they
can release such a damaging upgrade, with no uninstall
possibility when it f***s up your PC.
