You made yourself crystal, however you also said "However she can't find the
startup discs", by that I assume you meant the reset/recovery/rescue discs.
If you have no qualifying product you don't qualify for an upgrade, you need
the qualifying media as it will ask you to insert it during installation,
but a recovery disc cannot be used in this manner. Do you have retail
licence (and media) of either Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows 98 or
Windows 95 (clean installation only)?
