For some reason my PC does not want to install Windows XP
or Windows 2000. I has XP on there for a while but out of
nowhere it just got a stop error and then shut down and it
never started up again. I tried to install XP but it told
me that it could not copy XXXXX file. It's uaually random
for which file does not copy. I hit enter to retry but it
instantly gives me the same error. I know the CD works
though because my brother used it after I ran into this
problem to redo his computer. The same problem happens
with Win2K. I've tried upgrading from win98 and that
gives me an error also (I forget the speficics). Win98SE
on the other hand installed without a hitch and thats what
im using right now. The hard drive (WD800JB) is
probabally the problem because I tried installing XP/2K on
my HD in another comp but I got the same error. Any help
or explanation on why this is happening would be
grateful. Thanks!
