hi,
got exactly the same problem myself. Had an independent
IT guy look at the pc, to be told to format and start
again. Did that and the system still hangs on startup!
four formats later, numerous virus scans by norton,
Mcafee and Pc cillin and it still won't fix. Next step
for me is to send the whole lot back and get my money
back. The pc is going back to Asus and the operating
system is on it's way back to the supplier. Looking at a
mac with any other operating system as I've had it with
windows malfunctions and fatal errors!
