How did you back up the files?
If you just used a CD-burning application like Nero, all you have to
do is copy the files from the CD to wherever you want on your hard
drive. Just be aware that all the files will have their Read-Only
flag set, so you can select all the files at once (once they're on the
hard disk), right click them, select Properties and uncheck the
Read-Only box.
If you used a specific special "backup" program or utility to put your
files on CD, and they've all been put into one huge file, then you
should probably use the same backup utility to restore your files back
to the hard drive.
