Winows XP Set Up

During set up of Windows XP, it boots from the CD. After
one cycle (progress bars apears at bottom of screen) the
setup screen goes blank. I can hit CNTRL-ALT-DELETE but
that just sends the PV back through the boot from CD
cycle. A blank screen still comes up during set up.
I have also tried boot from Hard Drive. This results in
the PC asking for the CD. The cycle repates itself again
and screen comes up blank.
