I just reformatted my harddrive - removed Windows ME -
and installed Windows XP Home Edition. I have loaded
hardware for my mouse and printer, and installed software
such as MSN Messenger, Macromedia Shockwave/Flash,
Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint, Corel
Wordperfect 9.0, Corel WordPerfect Suite 7.0, Adobe
Acrobat, WinZip, multimedia players (WinAmp, RealPlayer,
QuickTime), AdAware (Lavasoft), and Stinger (Network
Associates).
When I restart or shut down, I receive the following
message:
"A problem has been detected. Windows has been shut down
to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time, restart the computer. If this
message appears again, do the following:
Check to be sure there is adequate disk space. If a
driver is identified, disable the driver or check with
the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video
adapters.
Check with hardware vendor for BIOS updates. Disable
BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you
need to use safe mode to remove or disable, restart,
press F8 to select advanced startup options, then select
safe mode.

What am I supposed to do at this point? My computer runs
fine, but this message pops up every time I either shut
down or restart the computer. Can anyone provide any
recommendations?
